Frequently Asked Questions

Even our horse had a few questions!
How does the Rotary break up the manure?
The Rough texture of the diamond shaped, expanded steel
drum, shreds the manure by just rolling the clumps of manure
against it. This makes the weight of the manure work for you
instead of fighting against you.
How fast do I have to go to make it work?
A slow (5 mph) speed works best, this allows the manure to
fall against the drum while rolling which aids the shredding
process. Going faster will not empty the drum sooner because
the manure will just go around with the barrel and will not
fall and roll as needed. Try "multi-tasking!" Mow and spread
manure at the same time!
Do we need to empty our Rotary every day?
Absolutely Not! The "Rotary" was created to make a tough job
easier! Place manure into it each day until full, even if it
rains, you need not worry. The rotary will work with any
consistency manure. Even soaking wet! Remember... The weight
works FOR you!
Do I need a PTO to operate the Rotary Spreader?
The "Rotary" is 'ground driven.' No external source of power
is necessary. When you reach the area you want to spread,
release one lever and the rotary is in gear and ready to
work for you.
I must cross a parking area with my spreader to get to the
pasture. My old spreader lost clumps of manure, leaving a
mess. Will the Rotary do better?
The "Rotary" may lose a small amount of wood chips/sawdust
but manure cannot escape the barrel until the spreading
process has begun.
